The Best Non-Alcoholic Margarita: Canned Picks, and How to Make One
Canned non-alcoholic margaritas compared, the agave bottle for making your own, a quick method and six recipes.

A non-alcoholic margarita is an agave spirit alternative, fresh lime and a little sweetness, shaken with ice and served with a salt rim. Make it if you want the classic, fresh and tart, or a spicy or fruity twist. Buy it canned if you want it ready: there are classic, spicy and key lime versions, most of them lightly sparkling. Here are the cans worth trying, the bottle to make your own, and our six margarita recipes.

Make it yourself
Salt the rim
Run a lime wedge round a glass and dip it in flaky salt. Fill with ice.
Shake
2 oz agave spirit alternative, 1 oz fresh lime juice, ½ oz agave syrup and ½ oz orange juice, hard with ice for 15 seconds.
Strain and serve
Strain over fresh ice and add a lime wheel.
A non-alcoholic orange liqueur isn’t something we carry, so orange juice does that job here. Full method in our classic non-alcoholic margarita; terms in what the recipes mean.
