About Cabernet Sauvignon

Saint Viviana's Cabernet is made as wine and then dealcoholized, which is why it keeps the structure a red needs rather than tasting like grape juice.

Blackberry, plum and black cherry with vanilla and toasted oak behind them. Dry, medium-bodied, and built for a plate.

Serve it cooler than room temperature. A red without alcohol shows better slightly chilled, and this one opens up over ten minutes in the glass.

About Saint Viviana

A California brand that buys finished wine from good vineyards and takes the alcohol out of it.

Saint Viviana starts where most alcohol-free wine does not: with wine somebody already wanted to drink. The house buys finished bottles from California and the Pacific Northwest, then dealcoholizes them gently and adds as little as possible afterward.

Choosing what to buy took a year. A panel of winemakers and a sommelier worked through dozens of wines from across the region before settling on the two that became the range.

The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Paso Robles — full-bodied, tannic, with cocoa on the finish. The Sauvignon Blanc comes from Washington State, and is the lighter and more food-flexible of the two. Both were made as wine first, which is what keeps the structure once the alcohol has gone.

New to Non-Alcoholic Red Wines?

Both routes exist in this category: some reds are fermented as wine and then dealcoholized, others never fermented at all. The Process line on this page says which. Origin and grape still shape the wine the way they always did — Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo keep their grip, Merlot and Garnacha land softer — and the alcohol figure is worth reading, since 0.0% and under 0.5% are not the same thing.

Common questions
Is it dry?
Yes. It is a dry, medium-bodied red with real tannin, not a sweet grape drink.
What should I serve it with?
Steak, lamb, mushrooms and hard cheese. It has enough grip for rich food.
