About Black
Stella Rosa Naturals Black, a 750 mL bottle of ripe blackberry, blueberry and raspberry. It is built on brachetto grapes, one of the eight flavors in the Naturals range.
Stella Rosa make it the way they make the rest of the range: fruit first, a soft natural carbonation, and a sweetness held up by acidity rather than left to sit heavy. It is semi-sweet and semi-sparkling, and the fruit comes from Asti in Piedmont.
Serve chilled, or over ice.

New to Non-Alcoholic Red Wines?
Both routes exist in this category: some reds are fermented as wine and then dealcoholized, others never fermented at all. The Process line on this page says which. Origin and grape still shape the wine the way they always did — Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo keep their grip, Merlot and Garnacha land softer — and the alcohol figure is worth reading, since 0.0% and under 0.5% are not the same thing.
Browse Non-Alcoholic Red WinesCommon questions
- What does Stella Rosa Naturals Black taste like?
- Ripe blackberry, blueberry and raspberry over a gentle fizz. It is the darkest of the eight and the one built from Brachetto rather than Moscato.
- Black or Red — which of the two Brachetto bottles should I pick?
- Black is the deeper of the two, leaning to blackberry and blueberry. Red is brighter, running to raspberry, wild strawberry and red plum. Both are semi-sweet.
- Is it sweet?
- Semi-sweet, and Stella Rosa says so plainly rather than positioning these as dry. The acidity and the low pH are what keep the sweetness from reading as heavy, and the carbonation lifts it further. If you want a dry non-alcoholic wine this is the wrong shelf.
- Is it alcohol-free?
- Not entirely. These are dealcoholized rather than never alcoholized, and the label reads under 0.5% ABV — the trace left in kombucha or a ripe banana. If you need a true 0.0%, Lussory and Seedlip are the ranges to look at instead.
