About Sauvignon Blanc

The Sauvignon Blanc is the crisp half of the pair — grapefruit and melon with citrus zest, and the herbal lift the grape is known for.

Made as wine first, then dealcoholized, which is what keeps the acidity sharp. A white without alcohol goes flat easily; this one does not.

Serve it very cold with fish, goat cheese or a salad with something sharp in it.

About Saint Viviana

A California brand that buys finished wine from good vineyards and takes the alcohol out of it.

Saint Viviana starts where most alcohol-free wine does not: with wine somebody already wanted to drink. The house buys finished bottles from California and the Pacific Northwest, then dealcoholizes them gently and adds as little as possible afterward.

Choosing what to buy took a year. A panel of winemakers and a sommelier worked through dozens of wines from across the region before settling on the two that became the range.

The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Paso Robles — full-bodied, tannic, with cocoa on the finish. The Sauvignon Blanc comes from Washington State, and is the lighter and more food-flexible of the two. Both were made as wine first, which is what keeps the structure once the alcohol has gone.

New to Non-Alcoholic White Wines?

Grape and sweetness do the work. Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling stay bright and cutting; Chardonnay is rounder. The sugar figure is what separates crisp from soft, and it is on the page.

Common questions
Is it sweet?
No. It is built dry, with the acidity doing the work rather than sugar.
What food suits it?
Fish, shellfish, goat cheese and sharp salads — the same table a Sauvignon Blanc with alcohol would suit.
