About Tinto Tempranillo
A red with enough structure to put on a dinner table, which is the hard thing to find without alcohol.
Tempranillo is Spain's red grape and it does the work here — dark fruit, cherry and blackberry, with oak behind it giving a little smoke and some grip on the finish. Alcohol-free reds usually fall down on body; this one has some.
The winery ferments in stainless steel first and takes the alcohol out at the very end, by vacuum distillation at low temperature — the gentlest of the methods available, and the reason the aromatics survive the process.
Halal certified and vegan. Serve it at cellar temperature rather than room temperature, around 57 to 61°F, with roast meat, stews or hard cheese.

New to Non-Alcoholic Red Wines?
Both routes exist in this category: some reds are fermented as wine and then dealcoholized, others never fermented at all. The Process line on this page says which. Origin and grape still shape the wine the way they always did — Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo keep their grip, Merlot and Garnacha land softer — and the alcohol figure is worth reading, since 0.0% and under 0.5% are not the same thing.
Browse Non-Alcoholic Red WinesCommon questions
- Do alcohol-free reds have any body?
- This one does. Tempranillo and time in oak give it structure, which is what most alcohol-free reds are missing.
- What temperature should I serve it at?
- Cooler than you would a wine with alcohol — around 57 to 61°F. Warm it up and the fruit goes flat.
- Is it halal certified?
- Yes, and vegan.
