Non-Alcoholic Sauvignon Blanc

Sharply aromatic, with grapefruit, gooseberry and a cut-grass note from compounds called pyrazines. It is the white of Sancerre and of Marlborough, and among the most instantly recognisable grapes there is.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sauvignon Blanc a good place to start?

An excellent one. Its whole character is aroma and acidity, and both come through completely — this is as close to the original as any wine on the site. Serve it cold with goat's cheese, asparagus or anything from the sea.

What does a dealcoholized Sauvignon Blanc taste like?

Much like the original, which is unusual. Grapefruit, gooseberry and cut grass come from pyrazines and thiols, both aromatic, and both survive. Marlborough fruit is the most recognizable and Sancerre the more restrained.

What food goes with it?

Goat cheese, asparagus, anything green and anything with herbs. Its acidity and the vegetal note meet those head on, where a rounder white would be flattened by them.
