Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Tea Spritzer

Sparkling tea and a few dashes of bitters — two ingredients, thirty seconds, and better than it has any right to be.

non alcoholic tea spritzer cocktail made with Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Lyserod served over ice with citrus garnish

Time

3 min

Serves

1

Base

Sparkling tea

Glass

Wine glass or flute

Garnish

Lemon peel or kumquat slices

This is the least effort on the entire site and one of the best drinks on it. Sparkling tea is dry and structured enough to stand alone; all the bitters do is add an aromatic top note. If you're hosting and short of time, this is the one.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Fill a wine glass or flute with ice if desired.
  2. Pour Sparkling Tea into the glass.
  3. Add 3–4 dashes of aromatic bitters.

A strip of lemon peel expressed over the top. The only garnish it needs.

Herbal

Swap to an herbal bitters. Changes the drink completely for the price of a dash.

Longer

Over ice in a wine glass with a splash of soda. Good for an afternoon.

How to serve & pair

Serve this Sparkling Tea Spritzer well chilled in a wine glass to enhance the aromas and bubbles. This refreshing alcohol-free spritz pairs beautifully with:

  • seafood appetizers
  • oysters or shellfish
  • light salads
  • sushi or sashimi
  • citrus desserts

It’s perfect for aperitivo hour, elegant brunches, or alcohol-free celebrations.

Common questions

Which sparkling tea should I choose?

BLÅ is the driest and most wine-like, LYSEGRØN is greener and more herbal, LYSERØD leans red fruit. All three work here.

How many dashes of bitters?

Three or four. It sounds like a lot for two ingredients, but the tea can take it.

Should it be served over ice?

Not necessarily — it's already cold and ice dilutes the tannin. Ice suits a longer, hotter afternoon.

Can I serve this at a dinner?

It's arguably the best non-alcoholic option for one. Dry, low in sugar, and it behaves like wine alongside food.
