Pineapple Spritz Mocktail

Pineapple, honey and a botanical spirit, lengthened with soda — the most cheerful drink on this list.

Melati Classic non-alcoholic botanical spirit with pineapple spritz mocktail and fresh fruit garnish

Time

5 min

Serves

1

Base

Botanical spirit

Glass

Highball glass

Garnish

Pineapple wedge

Pineapple juice is sweet enough to overwhelm most things, which is why it usually turns up in drinks that taste like holidays and not much else. Give it something botanical to push against and a little honey for body, and it becomes properly good rather than merely nice.

Ingredients

  2. Add Melati Classic, pineapple juice, and honey syrup.
  3. Top with soda water.

Make it yours

Spiced

A dash of aromatic bitters. Cuts the sweetness and adds depth.

Sharper

A squeeze of lime before you top up. Pineapple takes acid well.

Sparkling

Use non-alcoholic sparkling wine instead of soda. More of an occasion.

How to serve & pair

Serve this Pineapple Spritz well chilled in a tall highball glass to highlight the refreshing bubbles and tropical aromas. This alcohol-free spritz pairs beautifully with:

  • grilled seafood
  • tropical salads
  • shrimp tacos
  • fresh fruit platters
  • light summer appetizers

It’s perfect for summer gatherings, beach-style brunches, backyard parties, or alcohol-free cocktail hours.

Common questions

Fresh or tinned pineapple juice?

Fresh if you have it — it's brighter and less syrupy. Tinned works, but taste before you add the honey.

How do I make honey syrup?

Three parts honey to one part hot water, stirred. Honey alone won't mix into a cold drink.

Can I make it in a jug?

Yes — mix everything but the soda ahead, then top each glass. It's a good party drink.

What if it's too sweet?

More lime, less honey. Pineapple varies a lot by ripeness, so taste as you build.
