About Dried Lemon Wheels

Four dried lemon wheels in a stand-up pouch, one ingredient and nothing else.

A dried wheel holds its shape on the rim or in the glass where a fresh slice slumps, and it carries the oils rather than the juice, so it scents the drink instead of watering it down.

Good on anything tall and citrus-led, and they keep far longer than fresh fruit.

About Yes Cocktail Co.

Everything from this producer

Cocktail syrups, garnishes and cherries made in Paso Robles, California.

Yes Cocktail Company works out of Paso Robles, on the central California coast, making the parts of a drink that usually come from a plastic bottle: orgeat, cocktail cherries, dried citrus for the rim.

Their stated position, printed on the orgeat bottle, is that they have been focused on locally sourced, entirely natural ingredients from the very first batch, simply because the best cocktails require the best ingredients. The ingredient lists bear it out. The dried orange is orange. The dried lemon is dried lemon. The orgeat is water, cane sugar, almonds, almond bitters and orange blossom water.

It is a small range and an unglamorous one. Nobody photographs the orgeat. It is the bottle that decides whether the drink works.

Common questions

How many wheels are in a pouch?
Four. The nutrition panel counts the whole pouch as a single serving, which is the clearest sign of how thin they are sliced before drying.
Do they need soaking or trimming?
No. They go straight onto the rim or into the glass. Dried citrus is ready as it comes and does not weep the way a fresh slice does.
What is actually in them?
Dried lemon. That is the entire ingredient list, with nothing added for colour or shelf life.
