An alcohol-free Bavarian Hefeweissbier from Weihenstephan, which has been brewing in Freising since 1040 and describes itself as the oldest brewery in the world. Hazy and golden, with clove and honey over a fine yeasty character.
The top fermentation is allowed to run to maturity before the alcohol is taken out, rather than being stopped early. The method was developed with the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan, and it is why this tastes like a wheat beer rather than a malt drink.
Tangy, fresh and full-bodied. Serve it cold in a tall glass, with salads, light dishes or anything grilled.
Sold as a case of twenty-four 330 mL bottles.
