About Mingle Mocktails

Started by a Pennsylvania woman who came home from a weekend away and could not find a drink for herself.

Laura Taylor had given up alcohol and was heading to the Poconos with friends. Sparkling water and diet soda were what the shops offered, so she took her daughter to the supermarket, filled a cart with lavender essence, juices, citrus and herbs, and made three drinks at home. She put the best one in a one-litre bottle and took it with her.

She came back, went straight to her laptop to see what existed in the category, and found it did not have a name yet. Mingle followed in 2017, run out of Pennsylvania.

Bethenny Frankel joined as an investor and partner in 2023. The range now runs to seven flavours in cans and larger bottles.

Properly tart. It carries three juice concentrates — cranberry, orange and key lime — which is more fruit than most of the range, and the lime sharpens the finish.

There are 12 grams of sugars in a can, mostly added cane sugar, but the cranberry and lime keep it from reading sweet.
How do I serve it?
