Lyre's Spirit Co Americano Set (2 × 700 mL)

The Americano came before the Negroni and is the lighter drink of the two — the same bittersweet pairing, lengthened with soda instead of gin. It is the aperitivo you can drink more than one of, and the easiest of these sets to make.

Lyre's Americano Set — two 700 mL bottles: the Vermouth Alternative and Italian Orange.

Vermouth Alternative, previously Apéritif Rosso, is blood orange, vanilla and caramel with a mouth-coating weight. Italian Orange is the bitter half — bright citrus peel, rhubarb and a dry, pithy finish.

How to build it. Equal parts over ice in a tall glass, topped with soda and a slice of orange. Add a measure of the Gin Alternative and it becomes a Negroni, which is exactly how the Negroni was invented.

Both bottles also work alone with tonic or soda. Refrigerate after opening and drink within twelve weeks.
