About Sparkling Rosé

The Sparkling Rosé is the same build as the Blanc de Blancs — a grape seed infusion, grape juice, carbonation — with fruit juice color giving it the pink. Nothing here is fermented, so there is no alcohol to take out.

It is the bottle in the range for a toast where the white feels too plain and a red is wrong. Serve it at 45 to 48 degrees.

Refrigerate after opening and finish it within forty-eight hours, which the label requires rather than recommends.

About Le Petit Beret

Everything from this producer

A Languedoc house whose drinks are never fermented, so there is no alcohol to take out.

Le Petit Béret works among the vineyards of the Hérault, in the Languedoc. What it makes is not dealcoholized wine, and that distinction is the whole of the idea.

The house holds a patent on a method in which no alcohol is produced at all. Instead of fermenting and then stripping, the drink is built from infusions and natural extraction, worked out with oenologists and extraction specialists. It takes fewer steps than dealcoholization and less energy, and nothing has to be undone at the end.

The range runs wider than wine. White, red and rosé profiles, sparkling bottles, spirits and beers — all of them arrived at the same way.

Common questions

What makes it pink?
Fruit juice color. It is the only difference between this and the Blanc de Blancs on the ingredient list.
Is it sweeter than the Blanc de Blancs?
The two carry the same sugar figure. The fruit color changes how it reads more than how it tastes.
