A New York brand that builds drinks around adaptogens and nootropics rather than around a spirit.
Jen Batchelor founded Kin Euphorics in 2017, in Brooklyn, after studying Ayurveda — the Indian system of medicine that treats balance between body and mind as the point of the exercise. She came from a family of distillers, and the question she set out to answer was what a social drink would look like if it were designed around how people want to feel rather than around alcohol.
The first release was High Rhode, a bittersweet made-to-mix bottle. Cans followed, and the range now runs from bottles built for mixing to ready-to-drink cans. Bella Hadid joined as a co-founder in 2021.
Kin call the field braincare, and each drink is formulated toward a particular hour of the day rather than a particular flavor category — which is why the range reads as morning, evening and social rather than as red, white and sparkling.
