About Duo Set

Both Ghia bottles in one box, 500 mL each.

The Original is the bitter one — yuzu and white grape over gentian and rhubarb root, built to be lengthened three to one with something sparkling. The Berry is the bolder of the two, tart strawberry and black currant over smoked tea and warm spice, and it takes being drunk neat over ice. Neither carries any added sugar.

Refrigerate after opening and drink each within three weeks. Contains no alcohol.

A French founder in Los Angeles who set out to make a bitter aperitif rather than an imitation of one.

Mélanie Masarin grew up in France and spent her summers with family near the Mediterranean. She read economics at Brown, worked as a financial analyst, then ran retail and offline experiences at Glossier before leaving to make a drink she could not find.

She wanted a bitter aperitif rather than a substitute for anything. Working with a food scientist, and paying for it out of her savings, she went through dozens of formulations, holding the bitterness while early tasters pushed her toward something sweeter and easier to place. Ghia launched in June 2020 with 1,200 bottles.

The Berry followed, and the bottles are still made in Los Angeles. The name is borrowed from an Italian car designer.
