About Hearts Sapiir

Brunswick Aces Hearts Sapiir in 700 mL, a distilled alcohol-free spirit from Australia built on a gin profile. Warm and spiced.

Cassia bark and ginger lead, lifted by citrus and grounded by juniper and native Australian wattleseed. It is distilled rather than compounded, with no sugar and no synthetic flavors or colors, and it is halal certified.

The cap doubles as a jigger, marked at 15, 30, 45 and 60 mL. Excellent with tonic, and good with blood orange or in stirred builds.

About Brunswick Aces

An Australian distillery that coined its own word for what it makes: sapiir.

Brunswick Aces distills in Australia and calls the result a sapiir rather than a gin alternative — their own word, for a spirit distilled from botanicals with no alcohol in it at any stage.

The bottles are distilled rather than compounded, with no sugar and no synthetic flavors or colors. Native Australian botanicals do the work that would usually fall to juniper alone.

Two ran here. Hearts is the warm and spiced one, on cassia bark and ginger over wattleseed. Diamonds is the bright one, on desert lime, finger lime and mandarin with sage and angelica root beneath. Both caps double as a jigger, marked at 15, 30, 45 and 60 mL.

New to Gin?

Juniper is the requirement; everything else is the maker's argument. The ingredient list is where you see it, and a longer botanical bill usually means more to taste once it is long and cold.

Common questions
What is wattleseed?
An Australian native seed, roasted and nutty, and the thing that makes Hearts taste of somewhere rather than of juniper alone.
How is it different from Diamonds Sapiir?
Hearts is the warm and spiced one, on cassia and ginger. Diamonds is the zesty, citrus-led bottle in the same range.
What is the cap for?
It works as a jigger, marked at 15, 30, 45 and 60 mL.
